you again (bm)

I took this same picture of Octavian, later known as Augustus, last time I visited the British Museum (view image here). It is hard to describe how I feel when I stand before this object, but the BBC manages to sum some of it up for me in their program "The History of the World in 100 Objects." To listen to the 15-minite episode that makes this bronze statue come alive in its historical context click here.
